About the role

We are looking for a Solutions Engineer with strong communication and technical skills to join our Product and Solutions team.

As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance and optimise customers’ technology operations. You will support and provide our direct Sales team’s with information covering the entire Aspire product portfolio, from connectivity to voice, as well as hosting and cloud services.

As part of your development within the role, you will also have the opportunity to be involved directly with customers to help develop new and exciting solutions.  This will involve understanding their challenges, and designing solutions that will deliver benefit to them.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to make a transition into pre-sales and detailed solution design and will give the successful applicant the expertise and experience required. The successful candidate will be provided with training to give them a greater understanding of Aspire's products and solutions.

Our ideal candidate would be an individual, who is an instinctive problem solver and can identify the correct solution for a customer. Strong communication skills will help you to diagnose the customer’s issue and explain technical issues in a way that non-experts can understand.

Customer service is key to success in the role – living our values are woven through everything we do to guarantee that our service delivery is second to none.

Efficiency is also important to succeed, as you will be managing a diverse workload.

What you will be doing

Handling of tickets for inbound requests from customers for new IT solutions.
Providing technical support to the Sales team to allow them to build accurate quotes for customers. Understanding customer requirements and their desired outcomes and suggesting technology options to deliver against these requirements. Identifying opportunities to improve the customer’s experience and relationship with Aspire. Working across various internal and external teams to build a solution that meets the needs of the customer.

You will suit the role if you have

The ability to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s experience and articulate the benefits to the customer and end user. Excellent communication skills. A good understanding of hardware and software concepts. A good understand of how technology can drive business benefits.

£25k to £35k per annum (depending on experience)

Location and Working Arrangements

You will be based at Aspire’s Gateshead Head Office with travel as required.

We offer hybrid working where possible to support work-life balance.

Hours of Work

Full time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday

Interview Process

We generally conduct interviews in three stages, lasting approximately 2-3 weeks depending on everyone’s calendars.
