## What you will be involved in

- Working with clients to deliver high quality testing solutions for varied industries
- Designing, executing and maintaining automated ui tests
- API testing
- Performance Testing

- Promoting a ‘shift left’ attitude towards Software Testing
- Collaborating with internal Test Community to share best practices and ideas

## Technical Requirements

- Experience in design and development of Test Automation Frameworks, integrated with suitable automation tools (Selenium, REST assured, Playwright, Postman, Cucumber)
- Experienced in both manual and automated API testing (Postman, REST Assured, Karate)
- Demonstrated understanding and experience of various non-functional testing types
- Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages (Java, Scala, Javascript, Typescript, C#) 
- Demonstrated understanding and experience using core testing concepts and methodologies
- Experienced in using CI tools for continuous testing (Jenkins, Gitlab, Github Actions or similar)
- Experience working in an Agile Software Development environment

# Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance roles are responsible for analysing, designing, and executing test plans to mitigate risks when publishing new code or programmes.

Roles in Quality Assurance may specialise in functional testing, non-functional testing or both depending on the size and scale of the organisation. Working in these roles requires strong technical knowledge as well as the ability to problem solve and adapt to changing circumstances and priorities. Quality Assurance work closely with development teams and project managers to ensure any new solutions are safe and secure and they are often tasked with finding any possible flaws in the code being produced by developers.

## Key skills

The technical skills needed for the role will depend on the size of the organisation and the type of testing and QA being done but will include an understanding of coding languages and testing best practice. They may also include automation skills depending on the specifics of the role.
