What’s it all about?

The Technology team is made up of Testing, Engineering, DevOps, Change, Service Management, and Architecture. They design, develop, and deliver a customer journey that is user-friendly and efficient, ensuring we remain a leader in the fintech space. The teams are organised into value stream / product teams to deliver different types of change safely and at pace to support our business growth.

We have the opportunity for a Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join our Testing Team, where you will work with our Technical Testing Manager, providing hands-on technical testing and input in the areas of Test Automation, Non-Functional Testing and Test Tooling.

The Software Development Engineer in Test is a new permanent role in Atom and is a great opportunity for you to apply your existing testing skills and further your career in a technical testing capacity where you can make a huge difference to how technical testing is carried out within Atom.

  • Provide support to the Value Stream teams on defining and executing NFT
  • Be an advocate of Quality Engineering principles, supporting the existing testers on all technical aspects of testing.
  • You will be comfortable having technical conversations with your peers and presenting technical solutions in a way that non-technical people can understand.
  • Collaborate with other technology professionals including Platform and Software Engineers and Technical Delivery Managers / Leads.

What do we need from you?

  • Good knowledge of testing principles, process, methodologies, and test tooling including Jira.
  • Hands on experience in automation testing using automation tools (one of more of Appium, Postman, Selenium, Jenkins, Gitlab)

  • Exposure to non-functional testing and performance testing frameworks.
  • Programming and SQL skills (e.g. Java/.NET, python, cucumber).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A passion for new technology, industry trends and tooling and a desire to continually learn and grow in your role.
