Our Story

This role sits within the wider BBC Technology Group and we own the strategy, roadmap, design, development and support of the BBC’s enterprise wide/corporate systems including Finance, Procurement, Treasury, HR and Resource Scheduling. We work closely with our key stakeholders to understand their needs and then manage a range of projects to meet those needs.

The HR Product Team are responsible for all the strategy and support of HR systems at the BBC including SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, Resourcing systems, Contingent Worker applications, and a large number of other HR applications that underpin the insourced HR Service Centre operations including HR Case management systems.

Your role reports in to the SuccessFactors Product Owner. We're a fast paced, passionate and highly driven team. Our team work across the current SuccessFactors platform managing the roadmap, changes and incidents of all implemented modules. We support the full SF Talent suite, Learning, Recruitment, Onboarding as well extension products. There is also opportunity to be involved in exciting projects across the SuccessFactors platform and wider HR system landscape. You'll be highly motivated, passionate about the BBC and great at building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You'll ensure the delivery of the best possible service and user experience to our customers both inside the BBC and externally.

A day in the life of a SuccessFactors LMS Senior Product Manager

You completely own your role:

  • Managing the day to day change delivery for SF modules
  • Able to quickly problem solve and support incidents
  • Experience of having to communicate clearly with a range of people at different levels of the organisation and explain technical issues using a range of styles, tools and techniques
  • Experience of learning processes and how technology change can be implemented in an organisation
  • Knowledge of security policies and statutory requirements relevant to the role
  • Understanding of security, access and authorisations
  • Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers
  • Experience of providing a high quality service in a demanding customer service environment
  • Knowledge of change and configuration management procedures
  • Solution orientated and problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of leading multiple large projects and suppliers at the same time
  • Knowledge of ITIL standards and the principles of service support and delivery
  • Experience of relationship management at senior levels of the organisation
  • Experience of technology projects including business change deliverables
  • Worked on the full project lifecycle for more than one project

  • Technical and Functional experience in working on SuccessFactors LMS module
  • Experience and knowledge of HR Products and Processes and Employee Lifecycle
  • Confident on leading on senior leader discussions and presentations
  • Proven skills in developing roadmaps and business cases
  • Experienced in change and incident management

  • This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their BBC office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business need but personal circumstances and other relevant circumstances will also be taken into account. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working, including whether a hybrid working arrangement is suitable for you, will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.
