The aim of this role is to provide structure and direction to tombola’s creative art style and development processes across our arcade and bingo games and our B2B offering. We have a team of talented illustrators and ambitions to be the world’s biggest bingo brand and we need a senior team member who can own tombola’s look and feel in games for all of our audiences.

Tombola art style management: You’ll lead how our illustration style evolves as a brand across our arcade and bingo games in all markets and managing the direction we set for ourselves and other brands we may work with.
Managing consistency: With a team of illustrators each with unique skill sets we are capable of producing amazing game designs, and your role will be to ensure that all our designs are of a consistently high standard across all elements You will also be responsible for managing the documents and processes that help ensure a consistent quality of production.
Research and insight: We believe that the quality of our game illustrations can be improved with more data and understanding so we’ll look to you to embed this in your team – whether that’s data from within the business, player insight or through experimentation.
Manage a team of illustrators: We have a team of highly skilled illustrators who take pride in their work. With the support of team leads you’ll need to manage their personal and professional development as well as the quality of their output.
Stakeholder management and cross team collaboration: Game illustration is one part of building world class games so it’s vital that you can work with people from across a variety of teams and at all levels to ensure that we are working to the best possible outcome.
Experience in managing and developing the art style of a design-based business, including associated documentation and processes. Experience managing consistent design quality across a team of illustrators. Using insight and data to help set creative direction and decision making. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and building cross-functional collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, particularly with counterparts across the tech teams.
