Oracle Database Administrator

YOU MUST BE BASED WITHIN 50 MILES OF EDINBURGH, LONDON, BIRMINGHAM, MANCHESTER, NEWCASTLE OR BELFAST

THIS IS A REMOTE BASED ROLE WITH VERY OCCASIONAL TRAVEL TO CLIENT SITES AND OFFICE.

Here at Version 1, we are currently in the market for experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our growing Digital, Data & Cloud Practice.

You will have the opportunity to work with the latest technology and worked on projects across a multiplicity of sectors and industries.

Job Description

You will be: Creating and developing the inventory, and proving procedures, looking at pre-requisites, training and identifying the migration approach for migrations to be conducted. Overseeing full migration lifecycle activities including, but not limited to detailed analysis, design, development, test, user acceptance test support and production implementation. Identifying and correcting performance issues, reviewing systems and error logs, storage management, backups, job monitoring, optimization efforts, data integrity analysis and resolving database contention issues. Overseeing the migration of pre-production and production database services. Leading the application remediation as and when required and overseeing the migration of development and/or system test database services.

Qualifications

You will have: Expertise as an Oracle DBA Technical expertise within: Oracle Database 12c upwards (Essential). OEM – Oracle Enterprise Manager (Essential) Cloud Migration (Essential) Public Cloud (Essential) Exadata (Desirable) OCI/Azure/AWS (Desirable) Fusion Middleware (Desirable) Expertise within Monitoring, Alerting and Performance Tuning. Expertise within technical discovery, assessment, and migrations. Consultancy/Client facing expertise skills.
