We’re on the hunt for a Senior Client Account Manager to join our team! As an Account Manager at TDS, you will play a key role in fostering and expanding our client relationships. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring their satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for growth. Your strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and deep understanding of our services will be crucial in driving client success and contributing to the overall growth of the company.

This is a hybrid role – your time will be split between working from home, visiting client sites and working in our Newcastle office.

Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management:

Develop and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with existing clients

Understand client needs and objectives, and proactively propose solutions to meet them

Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and effectively

Account Growth and Retention:

Develop account strategies, identifying opportunities for account expansion and upselling based on client needs and our service offerings.

Drive growth, innovation, and continuous service improvement as part of BAU delivery

Maintain a close awareness of client challenges and bottlenecks and leverage your network back to TDS to bring the clients new propositions to assist them in developing their business

Monitor client satisfaction and take proactive steps to ensure high levels of retention

Negotiate contract renewals and upsell/add-on opportunities

Recruit new Partners and conduct promotional activity

Market and Industry Knowledge:

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors to provide valuable insights to clients

Leverage market knowledge to anticipate client needs and position TDS as a trusted advisor

Analysis & Reporting:

Track and analyze key account metrics, providing regular reports on account performance and progress towards targets

Manage engagement finances

Requirements

3+ years of Account Manager experience in IT Consultancy

Demonstrated ability to multi-task across a wide range of accounts

Effective communicator, resourceful, action-oriented and collaborative

Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial young company

Commercial understanding and awareness including knowledge of fee structures and commercial terms

Demonstrated ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences, ability to handle objections

Comfortable and experienced working with all levels of professionals both internally and externally

Large client delivery experience (as a consultant) e.g FTSE 100, Central Government a plus

Good knowledge of software engineering would be advantageous
