Tech Talent Engine aims to support hundreds of businesses and employees as part of the North of Tyne Combined Authority’s (NTCA) £12m Digital Growth and Innovation Programme.

Funded by local sponsors including Opencast, Mediaworks, the University of Newcastle, and Tombola, collaboration is at the heart of the engine.

Candidates looking for a job are encouraged to complete the skills quiz, which carefully selects a career based on a unique set of criteria. The skills quiz targets questions around the technology they’re comfortable working with and their interests, such as JavaScript, Adobe InDesign and many more.

After carefully gathering this unique information, a career family is assigned. For example, a career in technology solutions is recommended if your interests are gaming, coding and problem-solving.

With accessibility in mind, Tech Talent Engine helps to streamline research and allows employers to find successful candidates. No more scouting the internet for roles, Tech Talent Engine uses unique criteria to allow companies and employers to both access support and network with others in the field.
