Game Designers work as part of a larger multidisciplinary team to oversee the design process of video games. They are responsible for bringing ideas, building prototypes and developing the game mechanics.

In addition to strong creative thinking game designers need to be able to communicate well with varied teams while working collaboratively. They need to be able to convey their ideas and outlines to both technical and non-technical staff and would benefit from creative writing skills.
