Graphic Artworker

Graphic artworkers are responsible for the design and production for a range of visuals from flyers and logos to packaging and product displays.

A graphic artworker may work internally within a business or as part of an agency and is responsible for producing designs and visuals for a variety of products depending on the organisation. They may work across several different mediums at once and are responsible for meeting deadlines and working within the guidelines given by stakeholders. They work with different platforms and programmes to produce designs depending on the end use and often need to balance creativity with outlined requirements.

In addition to this graphic artworkers may be responsible for working with marketing teams on brand designs such as logos and merchandise as well as internal and external assets.

Key skills

Graphic artworkers need a high level of creativity and design skills as well as the ability to communicate well with their teams and stakeholders. They often need to work collaboratively with multiple teams across their organisation and need to demonstrate resourcefulness when working with tight deadlines or limited budgets.

The key technical requirements for a graphic artworker include good digital design skills in programmes such as the Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent) as well as the ability to adapt to the preferred programmes of their organisation.
