Technical Architects take responsibility for technical design and leadership within and organisation.
The role will vary in responsibility depending on the size of the employer organisation but will usually include leading strategy and decision making around the technical design of the wider technology stack as well as specific technology used within a business. Technical architects need to understand the wider picture and direction of technology being used to make informed decisions on the requirements and strategy moving forward.

They also use their ability to engage stakeholders to identify and understand business problems and turn these into complex but easily explained technical designs.
