Sales executives are usually responsible for managing a combination of outbound approaches and inbound enquiries from potential clients. They may use a combination of email, phone calls, and social media to source leads and may also have access to a dedicated platform to find potential clients.

Key skills

Sales executives need strong communication skills as well as the ability to build rapport quickly while maintaining relationships over time. They need to have good interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing client and market needs.

The technical skills needed for these roles will depend on the type of produces being sold but will at least involve the ability to use a CRM systems (such as Salesforce) and diary management software.
